Carlie M. Foster Esq Lobby Idaho team

Carlie M. Foster | Esq.

Carlie Foster joined the Lobby Idaho team in 2015. Born and raised in Canyon County, she is dedicated to serving Idaho and enjoys working closely with Idaho’s decision makers.

Mrs. Foster graduated from the College of Idaho in 2011 with a degree in Political Economy. During her studies at the College of Idaho, she interned for a state Senator during the 2010 legislative session. She then attended Concordia University School of Law in Boise, where she earned her J.D. and was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in October of 2015.

Mrs. Foster worked at the Canyon County Public Defender’s Office before and during law school. She held a Limited License to practice law while at the Public Defender’s Office and successfully represented several clients in court. Throughout this time, she gained a depth of legal knowledge and background working with policy. This created an enthusiasm for not only defending the Idaho Code, but also for being involved in the policy making process.

Mrs. Foster excels in maintaining client contact. She is experienced in legal and policy research and drafting legislation. She handles every aspect of representation, from writing a bill to presenting it before a legislative committee.

Additionally, Mrs. Foster is the owner and managing member of Foster & Associates Legal Group, PLLC, a law firm established in 2018 to help provide legal counsel to local subdivisions. She represents the Notus-Parma Highway District, allowing her to combine her government affairs experience with her legal degree and passion for making Idaho a better place to live.

Mrs. Foster serves on the Community Board for the Jayden DeLuca Foundation, a local organization dedicated to helping families affected by congenital heart defects. She learned of the group after her son was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and had to undergo several life-saving surgeries in the first six months of life. She is grateful to give back to a community that provided so much support during a difficult time for her family, and to be part of an organization that funds research into the field of congenital heart defects.

Mrs. Foster and her husband, Matt, and their son, Thomas, live in a home surrounded by farmland in Canyon County. She enjoys any time spent outside or in the kitchen!
